Mechanical engineering is one of the broadest and oldest branches of engineering. In this branch students study design, analysis, testing, manufacturing, control, operation and maintenance of all type of machinery in industries. They requires an understanding of core concepts including mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics, materials science, structural analysis and electricity.
Mechanical engineers use these core principles along with tools like computer-aided engineering and product lifecycle management to design and analyze manufacturing plants, industrial equipment and machinery, heating and cooling systems, transport systems, aircraft, watercraft, robotics, medical devices, weapons and others. Mechanical engineers are employed in industries whose function is concerned with manufacturing, steel production, mining, transportation, communications, oil refining, chemical manufacture, paper, sugar, textile, aerospace, nuclear energy, natural gas production and transmission.
This department has of Mechanical Engg. Students Association (MESA). Under this council various activities are arranged like industrial visits, industry expert lectures, paper presentation, technical quiz, project competitions, poster competitions etc for technical & overall development of student.
After passing Diploma in Mechanical Engineering students can start their
own business. Also they have opportunities to start their career as junior
engineer, Assistant inspector, quality control Supervisor, Technician, Technical
Assistants etc in following government, private or co-operative sectors.
• MSEB, MSRTC, Public Work Department (PWD), Indian railway, etc
Government sectors
• DRDO, Military, Navy, Air force, HPGC, ONGC, SAIL, GAIL, etc Government
sectors
• Private industries like TATA Motors, Mahindra & Mahindra, Bajaj Auto etc
• After Completion of Design Course CAD/CAM, Pro-E, CNC Programming
got White caller Job in industry.
• Instructor in ITI colleges
• Lab Assistant in Engineering, Polytechnic, etc technical colleges
• Eligible for admission to Direct second year in Engineering college
Department has well designed & equipped laboratories which enables faculty & students
