            Department of Civil Engineering is a broad field of engineering dealing with the planning, designing, construction, maintenance & management of physical infrastructural networks. In Civil Engineering students study curriculum like Surveying, Structures, Mechanics, Material Science, Construction, Geography, Geology, Soil investigation, Hydrology, Environment, Transport, etc

           Civil engineer plays a vital role in creating the man made environment by protecting natural environment. They plan, design, construct, maintain & manage buildings, bridges, highways, harbor facilities, dams, water supply systems, tunnels, airports, pipelines, sanitation system & other public work with the use of eco-friendly materials. This department has Association of Civil Engg. Students (ACES). Under this council various activities are held like industrial visits, industry expert lectures, paper presentation, technical quiz, project competitions, poster competitions etc for technical & overall development of student.

  • Job Opportunities:

            After passing Diploma in Civil Engineering students can start their own business. Also they have opportunities to start their career as junior engineer, Assistant Engineer, Surveyor, Research Engineer, Supervisor, Technical Assistants etc in following government, private or co-operative sectors.
